Cliffs and Plateaus

There is a pattern of healing in my 14 years of stroke recovery/spiritual journey which I call stairs. At first I called this plateau and Cliff climbing.

This pattern may be evident in your healing journey too, even without the stroke.

The plateau portion consisted of a long fairly flat path of gaining strength. Mostly uneventful period of time. While the cliff portion is the energetic jump up to the next energetic level which is only accessible due to the strength gained on the plateau journey.

It is only recently that I was given to understand that there were major and minor cliffs. The major cliffs were the bigger jumps from working on one chakra to working on the next chakra. The minor cliffs were only smaller jumps within the chakra.

Interesting aspects of the plateau journey included detox symptoms energetic clearings and detachment from different physical/mental/emotional complexes within me. All of these pieces contributed to the strength gains in order to make and hold onto the next jump up. And yes sometimes I made the jump up and fell back because I could not hold it yet.

My cliff events were often characterized by some type of resistance. Initially these were weekends of not feeling physically good. It would be more accurate to describe them as feeling very weak and not able to keep up with the same physical demands.

Later on cliffs became more denominated (recognized) by feeling emotionally off or unwell. Most recently I did not recognize one because it was marked with a mentally negative period of time.

Each time these cliffs were successfully climbed as long as I took care of the symptoms that arose. When I was physically weak I took more time resting and spent less time doing. This is a matter of rearranging schedule and expectations on myself. When I was emotionally off and un-peaceful I consciously avoided situation’s where there could be conflict and spent more time on peaceful centeredness activities. When I was in a mentally negative space I called a friend who reminded me of the things I already knew I needed to do to regain a positive mindset.

Afew cliffs (upgrades) were marked with colds or some typeof sickness.

The most important factor in navigating all of the cliff events, was to look around me and realize that there was always something I could use that I already had and knew about that if I used could to assist me in completing the jump up. More than once, an Epson salt bath was one of the helpful activities. Other helpful activities were exercise, reading, spending time in nature and meditating. Basically anything that was attractive to me, including healthy food.

Of course the list of helpful activities will be unique to you.
